Arts, Media and Computer Games
Abertay welcomes applications for Research Degrees in a range of subject areas and on topics across each of the four faculties (Schools) of the University. The following list is a guide to our priority areas of expertise: game art; game design; computer games technology; creative sound production; interaction design.
2.1 Honours degree (or equivalent) at undergraduate level in an appropriate discipline but in most cases, especially for overseas applicants, a Master�s degree is preferred. In some cases appropriate professional or experiential learning may be considered in combination with a lower classification of Honours degree. Applicants whose 1st language is not English should have an IELTS score of 6.5 (with no subject less than 6.5). Another UKBA acceptable English language qualification at the same level may be accepted for all research degrees (MbR, MPhil, PhD).
