Energy, Water and Environmental Management

Students on this course develop a critical understanding of the complex environment and ability to integrate various multi-disciplinary components to reach conclusions in holistic problems of sustainable energy generation and utilisation and water cycle management.

Entry requirements

An Honours degree or equivalent awarded by recognised degree-awarding institution; those with alternative qualifications and/or work experience will also be considered on an individual basis.

Course modules

Case study - industrial location; energy and power supply systems; environmental management; MSc project - environment programmes; renewable energy technologies; sustainable project management; water cycle management; energy markets; waste and contaminated land management; water and wastewater treatment.

Assessment methods

Assessments include a mixture of written coursework based on active case studies, presentations to demonstrate their knowledge, and exams. Students working towards the MSc qualification also complete a dissertation.
