All areas of public policy acknowledge that no activity takes place outside of society and that society itself changes in often unanticipated ways. Our Society research theme therefore encompasses a wide range of subject domains including: media and culture; business, economies and management; psychology; sociology; mental health and well-being; sport, performance and exercise; law of employment.
2.1 Honours degree (or equivalent) at undergraduate level in an appropriate discipline but in most cases, especially for overseas applicants, a Master�s degree is preferred. In some cases appropriate professional or experiential learning may be considered in combination with a lower classification of Honours degree. Applicants whose 1st language is not English should have an IELTS score of 6.5 (with no subject less than 6.5) for all research degrees (MbR, MPhil, PhD). Another UKBA acceptable English language qualification at the same level may be accepted.
