Food & Water Security

This interdisciplinary course focuses on the scientific, economic, social and political factors that affect the secure production and distribution of food and water throughout the world. The course also examines the impact of climate change and conflict on food and water security across the globe. Drawing on 3 complementary academic disciplines, this course will train students to contribute significant advances to the way in which food and water security is achieved across the technical, environmental and social spectrum.

Entry requirements

Honours degree (minimum 2.2); IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 93 (internet based test).

Course modules

Modules include: professional skills in managing the environment; data management and handling; issues and developments in managing the environment; an introduction to environmental law; environmental impact assessment theory and practice; critical evaluation in environmental management.

Assessment methods

Assessment includes the dissertation.
