River System Dynamics and Management

The course develops knowledge of hydrology and fluvial geomorphology and its practical application. The course provides students with insight into the cutting-edge techniques utilised in research as well as in applied practice in contemporary river management worldwide. The research dissertation enables students to examine in depth a relevant topic of their choice, with guidance from a relevant supervisor. Opportunities may exist for students to undertake their dissertation projects with an external organisation, such as Natural Resources Wales, or an international research partner with whom staff collaborate.
