Management and Project Management
The main objective of this course is to equip students with a fundamental understanding of strategies for managing individuals, teams, departments and companies. Students study subjects including decision-making, implementation delivery, management of people and organisations, contemporary leadership and much more. As students gain a masterful understanding these subjects they specialise their studies towards project management, productivity and management success in the modern workplace. The course culminates in writing this course's equivalent to the final dissertation: the integrative managerial report. This report is an opportunity to apply learning to a specific issue or problem within a real-world company. Students also are required to focus on their own personal skills and strengths to find their most productive way into today�s business environment.
A good Honours degree (or its equivalent) in any discipline plus satisfactory references from their university. Candidates with equivalent experience and qualifications are considered. IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 93 (internet based) where applicable.
Modules include: financial analysis and decision making; people and organisations; markets consumption and strategy; implementation delivery and development contemporary leadership; project management.
Assessment takes the form of; research proposals including a related bibliographic element, case studies, oral assessments and essays. Each student completes an integrative managerial report worth 60 credits, which deals with an area of chosen study in the 3rd semester.
