Legal Practice (LPC)
The course explores civil litigation and dispute resolution; criminal law; property law and business law. As well as this, our range of optional modules give students the chance to learn about family law, employment law, child care, commercial dispute resolution and private client work.
One of the following: a UK qualifying Law degree with a minimum classification of 2.2 Honours; a pass in the Common Professional Examination (CPE); or a recognised Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL). Fellows of the Institute of Legal Executive (FILEX) students issued with a Certificate of Exemption from the CPE by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) are also eligible. IMPORTANT NOTE: Applicants must obtain written confirmation from the Solicitors Regulation Authority that they have enrolled as a student member and completed the academic stage of training before they start any LPC course. If English is not the 1st language students should be able to demonstrate a certificated level of proficiency of at least IELTS 6.5 or equivalent English Language qualification, as recognised by Anglia Ruskin University.
Core modules: litigation: civil litigation and dispute resolution; criminal law and practice; property law and practice; business law and practice. Optional modules: Family law; employment law; private client; commercial dispute; resolution; child care.
Assessment is based on a combination of timed open book supervised assessments, oral practical and coursework-style assessments across the course.
