Body Psychotherapy

This course gives qualified body psychotherapist practitioners, the chance to work on a substantive piece of academic research, with access to resources and internationally renowned therapies staff. Students are assigned an academic supervisor to support their work, and will be able to attend our research methodologies training. Students can also attend lectures and seminars from our dramatherapy and music therapy courses, which will give further insight into arts therapies theory and practice; students work alongside other students from these courses, broadening their understanding of the field.

Entry requirements

A 1st degree, with Honours, in a related subject and at a minimum final classification of lower 2nd (2.2) or equivalent. If English is not the 1st language students are expected to demonstrate a certificated level of proficiency of at least IELTS 7.0 or equivalent English Language qualification, as recognised by Anglia Ruskin University. Applicants will be registered members of the UKCP and with a recognised body psychotherapy clinical qualification and postgraduate diploma recognised and awarded by the Cambridge Body Psychotherapy Centre.

Assessment methods

Assessment is based on a 15,000-word project.
