Expertise

Programmes

Bangor Business School’s excellent record in postgraduate teaching is reflected in the innovative nature of our degree programmes, and the performance of our students at Masters and PhD levels. Bangor Business School established the first MA in Banking and Finance offered by any UK university in 1973, and more recently was the first to offer MBAs in Banking and Finance and Islamic Banking and Finance.

Postgraduate students at Bangor Business School can choose between several types of higher degree programmes and subjects. These include taught MSc, MA and MBA degrees in the fields of Accounting, Banking, Finance, Islamic Banking and Finance, Business, Management, Marketing, Consumer Psychology, Computer Science and Law. The Business School also runs a highly successful programme for students who wish to study for the research degrees of MPhil or PhD.

Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) pathway

At Bangor Business School you will have the opportunity to follow the (Chartered Financial Analyst) specialist pathway as part of your Master’s programme and acquire the skills to complete the CFA Level 1 examination.

The Chartered Financial Analyst qualification is highly sought after both by industry professionals and ambitious students preparing for their careers. A CFA qualification is recognised globally as a mark of distinction for professionals in the investment industry.

Holders of the CFA charter typically go on to have careers in areas such as risk management, financial analysis and advisory, portfolio management and consultancy.

Partnering with Fitch Learning, who train over 3,000 CFA candidates each year, the unique blend of classroom, online and mobile learning will offer students the ideal preparation for the CFA Level 1 exam.
