Entry requirements

A 2.2 LLB single and joint Honours degree and in related subjects such as accountancy, finance, banking and management studies, politics, international relations and the social sciences are accepted. Applicants with degrees in unrelated disciplines will be considered on a case by case basis. Alternatively, possession of a suitable professional qualification or relevant practical experience may be accepted. In general, all applicants are judged on their individual merits. Work experience and other factors are also taken into consideration. International applicants are normally required to provide evidence of English language proficiency. The minimum English language requirements will normally be: IELTS 6.5 with at least 6.0 in each individual component score; internet-based TOEFL/IBT: 85.

Course modules

Modules include: legal research methods; Welsh public law; the legal regulation of health and social care in England and Wales; law of devolution in Wales and Europe; world trade law; intellectual property law; industrial property law; competition law; international banking law and capital markets; international corporate finance and merger regulation law; comparative corporate governance; employment law; international financial instruments law; international environmental law; international taxation law; European Union internal market law; international insurance law; international commercial arbitration law; bilingualism in Wales and other European countries.
