Filmmaking (Concept to Screen)

This taught degree programme has a unique focus, offering training in all aspects of filmmaking, from concept and creative development through the filmmaking process and on to distribution and marketing; by the end of the degree, students develop a competition and festival-ready calling-card short film, together with transferrable skills in developing and marketing their product and an understanding of the nature of the film industry.

Entry requirements

A good 2.1 Honours degree or industry equivalent experience required. Additionally, a creative portfolio demonstrating relevant experience is required. Where English or Welsh is not the native language/language of instruction: IELTS: score of 6.5 with no element below 6.0.

Course modules

Modules inlcude: the film industry; concept development; film production (the micro short); writing the short film; pre-production (the short film); film production (dissertation).
