Medical Molecular Biology with Genetics

This course teaches both the practical and theoretical aspects of medically-related molecular biology.

Entry requirements

English language: IELTS level of 6.0 (or equivalent) with no single element lower than 5.5. A 2.2 Honours degree, or equivalent, in a relevant subject area; e.g. molecular biology, biology, biochemistry, medical sciences or biomedical sciences. Applications also considered with evidence of relevant work experience and possession of other suitable professional or academic qualifications.

Course modules

Modules include: medical biotechnology; cellular causes of disease; human immunology and disease; medical applications of genome analysis; molecular and medical techniques; techniques of molecular biology and biotechnology; stem cells in therapy and disease; genomes and molecular genetics; project preparation course; research project.
