This course addresses the following themes: assessment of biological variability; coastal habitat ecology, and survey techniques: benthos; zooplankton; fisheries; aspects of marine zoology: taxonomy; physiology; genetics; integrated coastal zone law, and management; practical research project in any relevant topic.
2.1 undergraduate Honours degree for admission and to have a background in a natural science or related subject area. We also accept applicants with a lower 2nd class Honours degree and mature applicants (age 25 plus) without formal qualifications, but with suitable relevant experience (usually 2 or more years). IELTS: 6.5 (with no element below 6.0) is required.
Compulsory modules: encompassing theory, practical, private study, and practical research.
