The taught element encompasses subject specific critical evaluation of scientific literature, writing and presentational skills as well as project planning and advanced lab skills (60 credits); the research element (120 credits) requires students to undertake a major research project under direct supervision which is written up as a thesis; the course is suitable for both KESS funded students and industrial partners as well as self funded students.
1st Class, 2.1 or higher Honours degree in chemistry or suitable related science degree. The minimum IELTS requirement is an average of 7.0 with a minimum of a 6.5 in the listening element, a 6.5 in the speaking element, a 7.0 in the writing element, and a 7.0 in the reading element.
