Introduces advanced nanoscale, and microscale device fabrication processes, and techniques; device simulation, and design is addressed with emphasis on the use of advanced computer aided design (CAD) based device, and system based modelling.

Entry requirements

A 2.2 Honours degree in electronic engineering. IELTS: 6.0 is required (no element below 5.5).

Course modules

Modules include: nanotechnology, and microsystems; modelling, and design; project planning; advanced sensor systems; mini project; very large scale integration (VLSI) design; radio frequency (RF); microengineering; further microengineering; laser physics,; optoelectronics; mobile communications; broadband communication systems; research project.
