Cognitive Neuroscience and Neuropsychology

This specialist Master's degree brings together some of the world's leading researchers in the field of cognitive neuroscience and neuropsychology from centres such as the Centre for Brain and Cognitive Development, the Brain and Behaviour Lab and the Birkbeck/UCL Centre for Neuroimaging. You will examine how theories of cognitive function can be informed by evidence from converging neuroimaging methods, such as functional and structural magnetic resonance imaging, electrophysiology and transcranial magnetic stimulation, as well as from neuropsychological, patient-based techniques.

Sponsorship information

The government's new postgraduate loan scheme allows you to borrow up to £10,000 to cover the cost of your tuition fees, living costs or other study expenses - and you don't have to start repaying until 2019. ESRC funding may be available in conjunction with PhD study. Part-time students who are experiencing financial need may apply for assistance from the Birkbeck Alumni Fund Postgraduate Opportunity Bursary.
