Birmingham City University
An upper 2nd Class Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject area. Candidates should be able to demonstrate prior experience of work in television, media production or other media related areas. Achievements should clearly demonstrate a keen interest in the television sector. Students are advised to read around the subject of media and to explore examples. Applications should demonstrate the ability to generate and develop ideas, as judged by the MA team. Applicants whose 1st language is not English, must have achieved an IELTS 6.5 (or equivalent). The University welcomes non-traditional applications, particularly from applicants with substantial professional or production experience. It may also be possible to award module credits via APL/APEL if candidates can provide evidence of prior learning.
Core modules include: television factual entertainment and television documentaries and features; enterprise; production lab; MA by practice.
