Integrated Design and Construction Management
The course plans to take students on a learning journey with a strong awareness of their own capabilities and styles so that they can develop the capacity and skills to lead change in their organisations and to transfer knowledge effectively.
A construction/built environment based degree is a pre-requisite for this course. There is opportunity of special entry for experienced construction professionals without a degree but entry will involve assessment of prior work based learning and pre-course attendance.
Modules include: Building information modelling and management; construction law and contract; design and construction processes; people and organisation; business management; design for facilities management and performance; supply chain integration; BIM/IPD strategic delivery project.
Assessments include individual and group presentation, portfolio, written assignment, exams, and a major individual submission (MSc dissertation).
