Automotive Calibration Control
The course aims to develop the skills required to design and analyse components and systems within the automotive calibration and control environment, whilst introducing modern computer based tools to be used within industry context; the course develops engineering skills, including problem-solving abilities, practical competencies, critical appraisal and communication skills.
2nd Class Honours degree or equivalent in appropriate discipline; evidence of necessary knowledge and skills to successfully complete the course.
Modules include: Hybrids and sustainable technology; powertrain; control; vehicle ride and refinement; advanced powertrain control; vehicle control systems; calibration and test methods; networks and protocols; project.
The course is assessed by means of project reports and record keeping; oral presentations; time-constrained tests.
