Project Management

This course has been designed to produce project managers who are able to creatively tackle complex problems; it provides a comprehensive education for project managers who can start to tackle complex problems immediately while understanding how to manage and guide the company; it acts as a foundation for a career as a project manager, or alternatively gives students the necessary skills and knowledge for research at doctoral level (PhD); students are encouraged to undertake their Master's project in a work-based, problem identification and solution environment including, proposal, methodology, research analysis, evaluation discussion, conclusion and recommendations, dissertation write-up, summarised in a viva-voce presentation.

Entry requirements

2nd Class Honours degree or equivalent in an appropriate discipline; evidence of the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully complete the course are considered.

Course modules

Modules include: project management methods; operations and process management; developing human capabilities; developing financial capabilities; business and information strategy; logistics management for projects; research methods and professional development; international business and marketing; Master's project.

Assessment methods

These may include: project reports; record keeping; oral presentations; time-constrained tests.
