The purpose of the LPC is to equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to enable you to enter your training contract with confidence and to feel at home in the exciting, demanding and rewarding world of legal practice. We offer the latest version of the LPC, which enables you to study the course in one year full-time, or over two years part-time, but whichever option suits you best, you'll benefit from the supportive team environment that we work hard to cultivate. For September 2019 entry: In order to take advantage of new approaches to learning and teaching, as well as developments in industry to benefit our students we regularly review all of our courses. Legal Practice Course: A Bachelors Honours degree with 2:2 in a required subject, a Graduate Diploma in Law or a Common Professional Examination. If English is not your first language, you'll need IELTS (Academic) 6.5 or above.
Property Law & Practice; Litigation; Business Law & Practice (including Business Accounts); Accounts & Regulation - Professional Conduct & Regulation and Solicitors Accounts; Legal Skills - Writing, Advocacy, Practical Legal Research, Interviewing & Advising, Drafting; Estate Management & Taxation - Wills & Administration of Estates, Taxation. Option units* (choose up to three): Commercial Property; Commercial Law; Advanced Litigation; Employment Law; Family Law; Client in the Community; Private Client. *Please note that option units require minimum numbers in order to run and may only be available on a semester by semester basis. They may also change from year to year.
