Consolidation and Preparation for Specialist Practice
The course is designed to raise standards in social work practice and help social workers demonstrate their competence to work within complex situations; the unit is Stage 1 of the revised Post Qualifying Social Work framework and is designed to provide students with a firm foundation and preparation for their chosen specialist practice, eg children & family, adults or mental health.
Social work qualification recognised by the General Social Care Council or a qualification in an allied profession; have a significant amount of experience in social work/social care fields; hold at least a Diploma level qualification, such as a DipHE or equivalent.
