The course enables qualified and experienced social workers to fully meet the College of Social Work Practice Educator Professional Standards (PEPS's) and has been designed to prepare candidates for the important role of teaching and assessing social work students and newly qualified social workers in practice situations. The course places a particular emphasis on developing skills and knowledge in supporting the development of professional capability in others and on undertaking the holistic assessment of professional practice.
Applicants will normally hold a social work qualification recognised by the Health and Care Professions Council or a qualification in an allied profession. You must hold at least a Diploma level qualification, such as a Diploma in Higher Education (DipHE) or equivalent.
All years: Enabling work-based learning; supervising a student in practice.
