Vulnerable Adults and Community Care Practice
Applicants will normally hold a social work qualification recognised by the Health and Care Professions Council or a qualification in an allied profession. Applicants must hold at least a Diploma level qualification, such as a Diploma in Higher Education (DipHE) or equivalent. If English is not an applicant's 1st language they will need IELTS 6.5 (academic) or above.
If you study the BA (Hons) route you will undertake the Professional Practice unit: Professional Practice (working with adults) or Professional Practice (assessed & supported year in employment- ASYE). Graduate Diploma students won't study this unit. You can choose four option units from the following: Assessment in community care (risks and rights); organisation and delivery of community care; safeguarding adults (enabling adults in vulnerable circumstances); evidencing professional and/or management learning; practice observation.
