Professional Human Resources
The programme equips you with the in-depth knowledge and strategic understanding expected at senior managerial level. It is suitable for senior HR practitioners who have aspirations to progress to the highest possible level within their profession.
A 2.2 (or above) Honours Degree in a business-related subject from a recognised university or the equivalent international qualification; an acceptable professional qualification or experience equivalent to the CIPD Diploma in HRM/HRD; you must also have a minimum of 1 year's appropriate work experience within human resources and related operational responsibilities. If English is not your first language, you will also need to: Provide evidence that you have been instructed and assessed predominantly in English for a significant part of your educational career; or provide evidence of an IELTS 6.5 overall with no less than 6.5 in any sub-component. If you obtain a score of 6.5 overall with 6.0 in any of the sub-components you will have to attend in-sessional Study Skills support classes alongside the programme during the first term of studies at no additional cost; or provide evidence of an equivalent result in an appropriate English Language examination.
Modules include: Competitive intelligence for HR; managerial finance; HR strategy - application and implementation; emerging themes in HR; leadership, management and entrepreneurship; organisational stakeholder behaviour; reward and motivation. Optional modules include: talent management; employment law in practice; leading innovations in HR; performance and talent management; resourcing and assessing talent; organisational performance; employment law; compliance and risk management; business and contract law.
Assessment is by: Coursework; examinations; independent project work.
