Accounting and Financial Management
Applicants need a good Honours degree in either accounting and finance (minimum 2.2), or business/related subject (minimum 2.1) with a significant accounting and finance content (normally at least 25 per cent of the degree) from a recognised higher education institution; or equivalent, from a recognised overseas institution; or to have successfully completed all of the fundamental papers of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) syllabus or the certificate and managerial levels of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) syllabus and have at least 2 years' relevant work experience. Applicants who have passed any of the ACCA professional level or CIMA strategic level papers may be eligible for exemption from 1 or more of the MSc modules. Applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.5 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in all components.
Postgraduate Certificate core modules: fundamentals of financial management; financial context and contemporary issues; corporate strategy; corporate financial strategy; performance measurement and management; corporate financial reporting; research methods. Postgraduate Diploma is made up of other core modules and optional modules. Master's: dissertation.
Assessment is a mix of assignments, supervised mini-projects, role playing, presentations and examinations.
