Environmental Management

This course has been designed to allow students maximum flexibility regarding themes, focus and study mode. Students will be able to shape their own degree by selecting from a mix of water, geographical information systems (GIS), and sustainable development modules that build on their existing knowledge or are relevant to their own professional ambitions.

Entry requirements

Honours degree (2.2 or above). The course is most suitable for graduates with degrees (or professional experience) in areas related to environmental management. The University is also happy to consider applicants without the usual entry requirements but who do have relevant professional experience of environmental management or a related discipline.

Course modules

Compulsory modules: managing the environment; master's project. Optional modules: water management; catchment hydrology; catchment management; applied geographical information systemss (GIS); sustainability.

Assessment methods

Assessment methods include: debates and discussions, professional reports, presentations and academic essays.
