Honours degree (minimum lower 2nd Class) in a relevant subject or other qualifications deemed equivalent by the award committee.
Core modules include: methods in clinical analysis; research methods; current issues in biomedical research; biomedical aspects of ageing. Specialist subjects which are offered include: cellular pathology; clinical chemistry; haematology; immunology; medical microbiology.
Each taught module is assessed by a written examination and coursework. Coursework may be in the form of a case study, study pack, poster or oral presentation.
