The university may award the degrees of MPhil or PhD in health and social care to registered candidates who successfully complete approved and supervised research; research may be proposed in any field of study related to health and social care provided that the proposal is capable of leading to scholarly work and to its presentation in a written thesis for assessment by appropriate examiners.
First or upper 2nd Class Honours degree of a UK university or of the CNAA, or of a university outside the UK of comparable standard, or a Master's degree of a UK university or of the CNAA, or of a university outside the UK of comparable standard.
