Brunel University London
Business and Management
The programme is designed to provide students with both a formal research training in management theory and research and a supportive environment in which to pursue their individual research interests; in the first year (or the first 2 years for part-time registrations), the programme includes advanced taught courses in management research methods; in subsequent years, in addition to conventional 1-to-1 supervision, a range of seminar-supported activities are provided.
Applicants should have a Master's degree in management or a related social science subject; applications from candidates with a first degree (minimum 2.1) in management or a related discipline will also be considered; applications from those with a science or technology qualification which has an appropriate management component and or relevant educational industrial or commercial experience are also welcome; suitable candidates will normally be invited for interview.
Up to 2 studentships are offered to exceptional candidates accepted onto the programme; these are allocated on a competitive basis and are intended to contribute to fees and maintenance (non-EU students are required to pay the difference between UK and overseas fees).
