Secondary Education (Physical Education) with recommendation for QTS
Throughout the course, theory and practice are integrated in both the University and school contexts. The course is planned and delivered in partnership with Physical Education colleagues in local schools. The Teachers� Standards are mapped to every aspect of course provision to facilitate the best possible opportunities to support the process of professional learning.
An undergraduate degree related to the field in which you intend to teach. Normally this should be an upper 2nd class Honours degree or above. We consider relevant higher degrees. Maths and English grades C or equivalent at GCSE level. Students whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 7.0 or equivalent (with a minimum 6.0 in each component).
Assessment methods include a 1,500 word written assignment related to general professional issues, a poster presentation proposing a small scale research project based in school and an oral powerpoint presentation of the completed small scale research project.
