The course allows students to choose modules from a wide range of specialist subjects, including aspects of commercial law, intellectual property and international human rights; it enables graduates to produce their own 'bespoke' degree to suit their career needs; students receive a good grounding in the legal concepts and principles operating in the areas of law chosen; a comprehensive skills course running alongside the taught law modules equips students with a range of skills including legal English, research skills and legal methodology.
A 2nd class Honours degree in law, or equivalent; relevant professional qualifications or experience are considered; all applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.5 (with a minimum of 6.0 in writing and 5.5 in all other skills), TOEFL 92 (with a minimum of 22 in reading, 21 in listening, 23 in speaking and 21 in writing), BrunELT 65 per cent (with a minimum of 60 per cent in writing and 55 per cent in all skills), or equivalent.
