International Commercial Law

The course is designed for graduates seeking to gain a solid foundation into the growing discipline of International Commercial Law. The LLM in International Commercial Law is designed to provide a flexible route for students to be able to focus on areas of their own interest and further explore commercial law in both the European and wider International contexts.

Entry requirements

A UK 1st or 2nd Class Honours degree or equivalent internationally recognised qualification in law; other related disciplines and qualifications will be considered and in such cases assessed on an individual basis by the postgraduate director and an interview may be required; applicants whose 1st language is not English require: IELTS 6.5 (with a minimum of 6 in all areas); TOEFL paper-based test 580 (with a minimum of 4.5 in the test of written English); TOEFL internet-based test 92 (with a minimum of 20 in reading, listening, speaking and writing); Pearson 58 (with a minimum of 51 in all areas); or BruneELT 65 per cent (with a minimum of 60 per cent in all areas).

Assessment methods

Assessment is by coursework, seen examinations and a dissertation (15,000 words) to oral presentations and assessment by contribution in seminars.
