A UK 1st or 2nd class (2.1) Honours degree or equivalent internationally recognised qualification in film, television, media or communications is required. Other subjects and qualifications will be considered if they can demonstrate sufficient academic experience in areas relevant to the subject and are assessed on an individual basis. Entry criteria are subject to change. English language requirements: IELTS: 6.5 (min 6 in all areas); Pearson: 58 (51 in all subscores); BrunELT: 65 per cent (min 60 per cent in all areas).
Modules include: documentary (from script to screen); theory and history of documentary practices; the art and grammar of editing; alternative practices; short documentary film; final documentary film.
Assessment is by individual film projects, presentations and essays.
