Business Systems Integration
The programme aims to develop practical skills and critical awareness in relation to the state-of-the-art in business/enterprise systems integration (from a service-oriented perspective).
Applicants require a 2.2 Honours degree or foreign equivalent qualification; a computing-related background may be advantageous but is not a strict requirement; applicants with alternative qualifications and/or substantial industrial experience (that is relevant to the subject area) may be eligible to study on the course, and will be interviewed and required to do some preparatory work; applicants whose 1st language is not English require: IELTS 6.5 (with a minimum of 6 in all areas); TOEFL paper-based test 580 (with a minimum of 4.5 in the test of written English); TOEFL internet-based test 92 (with a minimum of 20 in reading, listening, speaking and writing); Pearson 58 (with a minimum of 51 in all areas); or BruneELT 65 per cent (with a minimum of 60 per cent in all areas).
Modules include: Research methods; enterprise modelling; enterprise resource planning systems theory and practice; enterprise resource planning systems deployment and configuration; service-oriented architecture; data management and business intelligence; systems project management; semantic integration frameworks; dissertation.
