Wireless Communication Systems
A UK 1st or 2nd Class Honours degree or equivalent internationally recognised qualification in electrical or electronic engineering, physics, maths or computer science; other qualifications and relevant experience will be assessed on an individual basis; applicants whose 1st language is not English require: IELTS 6 (with at least 5.5 in writing, listening, reading and speaking); TOEFL paper-based test 550 (with at least 4 in the test of written English); TOEFL internet-based test 79 (with at least 18 in reading, 17 in listening, 20 in speaking and 17 in writing); Pearson 51 (with at least 51 in all subscores); BrunELT 60 per cent (with at least 55 per cent in all areas).
Modules include: advanced digital communications; network design and management; DSP for communications; wireless network technologies; communications network security; research methods; radio and optical communication systems; project management; project and dissertation.
Assessment methods include: examinations; laboratory work; coursework; dissertation.
