Design Strategy and Innovation
The programme combines taught modules and industrial experience through design audits and industry placements. The aim is to create closer links between design and industry and to widen the horizons of design management students, enabling them to make informed reference to the world beyond design � to users, the market, new technology, economics, politics, law and the global environment.
A UK 1st or 2nd Class Honours degree or equivalent internationally recognised qualification in a design or a closely related creative discipline; other subjects with relevant work experience will be assessed on an individual basis; applicants whose 1st language is not English require: IELTS 6.5 (with a minimum of 6 in all areas); TOEFL paper-based test 580 (with a minimum of 4.5 in the test of written English); TOEFL internet-based test 92 (with a minimum of 20 in reading, writing, listening, speaking and writing); Pearson 58 (with a minimum of 51 in all areas); or BruneELT 65 per cent (with a minimum of 60 per cent in all areas).
Modules include: Strategic design management; branding strategy; creative enterprise; design research; design research project; design branding/innovation futures; design dissertation.
Limited number of competitive scholarships available through the University on an annual basis; awarded on merit.
