Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (Health Visiting and School Nursing)
This course is aimed at nurses seeking to develop careers in public health nursing within the community. The programme equips students with the skills required to carry out public health nursing within the community.
Course modules
Year 1: foundations for specialist community public health practice; protecting children and the vulnerable: studies for enhancing practice; enabling effective community development; supporting developmental needs through the lifespan; principles of practice education. Year 2: research methods and practice project; leading and managing effective healthcare provision; enabling effective community development; supporting developmental needs through the lifespan; principles of practice education.
