Leadership and Management
Today's managers and leaders need to successfully navigate a disruptive and continually changing organisational landscape. Within a volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous (VUCA) environment, their performance is being challenged in unrelenting ways. Now more than ever, successfully embedding a sense of leadership into an organisation can be the difference between success and failure, or mere survival versus profitability. Whether it is a private, public or non-profit organisation, strategic leadership development is an essential ingredient to organisational resilience and sustained relevancy. The MA in Leadership and Management seeks to accelerate the mind-set of managers in order to advance them to become responsible and reflective, strategic leaders in any given field. Our programme has been redesigned to reflect the changing pace of organisational decision-making where traditional management theories and practices may no longer be fit for purpose. There are three recurring themes throughout the programme: relevancy, responsibility and reflection as these three traits underpin effective management and leadership. At Bucks Business School, our goal is to support you with career progression and help you strive for pivotal roles in a challenging landscape. We can give you the skills and knowledge to help you progress as leaders or, in the wider context, as consultants and business developers.
MA: Applicants will normally hold a good honours degree (2:2 or above) or equivalent, although we have a flexible approach to our application process. Relevant career experience will be considered in place of qualifications.
