Buckinghamshire New University
The course provides the practical skills needed to develop a career in the different sectors of the marketing communications industry, whilst enabling students to develop their own areas of interest of a particular aspect of the industry to a Master�s level. Students provide live briefs and participate in debates and events on new and emerging issues, run by the advertising and marketing societies, which are affiliated to the institute of practitioners in advertising and the chartered institute of marketing. Applicants study the diverse nature marketing communications from the TV commercial, national newspaper press releases, live street theatre, to getting the brand mentioned in a feature film, and setting up a digital TV channel.
Applicants require a 2.1 Honours degree. Comparable qualifications, for example the CIM Postgraduate Diploma or the CIM Professional Diploma, or at least 4 years of relevant work experience, will also be considered. Applicants must also be competent in English and maths.

Assessment is based upon both academic understanding and practical work, the latter often involving work on live agency projects. Dissertation.
