Technology Enhanced Learning

The programme covers the embedded use of learning technologies within face-to-face student and teacher environments, as well as distance learning, blended, part-time and work-based education. The focus is on how students can develop good pedagogical practice to enhance the design and delivery methods for teaching and learning in these environments using a range of technology augmented methodologies; students study the design and development of appropriate teaching and learning technology resources underpinned by sound pedagogy.

Entry requirements

Honours degree or equivalent; applicants must have regular teaching and student learning support responsibilities; all applicants are interviewed; English language requirements for international applicants are IELTS 6.5.

Course modules

Stage 1 (PGCert): developing methodologies in technology-enhanced learning; designing effective resources in technology enhanced learning; the development and delivery of technology enhanced learning. Stage 2 (PGDip): assessment and evaluation in technology enhanced learning; developing and implementing the technology enhanced learning architecture; managing change in technology enhanced learning. Stage 3 (MSc): research methods and dissertation.
