International Accounting and Finance

This course aims to help students develop the specialist skills required to work in the accounting and finance field. These include corporate finance; private sector investment; taxation; auditing and foreign exchange strategy; within national and international market contexts.

Entry requirements

Applicants will normally possess a good Honours degree in a business/finance related subject. Whilst there is little high-level maths required, the applicant must be confident with numbers. Applicants with relevant academic or professional qualifications, and/or experience, will be considered for their suitability on the basis of an interview.

Course modules

Core modules: financial accounting theory and practice; financial management; international trade and competition; foreign exchange strategy; personal development and consultancy skills; international finance; consultancy project/dissertation. Optional modules include: international auditing; UK taxation; management science and systems; international strategy and organisations.

Assessment methods

Dissertation.
