Mental Health and Educational Practice

We are focused on helping to redesign work environments where it is increasingly policy-driven and integration of service delivery, multi-professional and multi-agency practice becomes the established way of working. Our MSc in Mental Health and Education Practice programme is a new and innovative inter-disciplinary programme based on expertise from across the School of Social Sciences and Education and the wider Faculty of Society and Health. This programme explores the characteristics and phenomena of mental health in the learning environment and how this impacts on those engaged in learning, including learners, educators, trainers and managers, as well as multi-disciplinary groups such as school nurses and other health professionals working in the education sector, social workers, psychologists, and youth workers.

Entry requirements

Applicants would normally be expected to have achieved 2.1 in a social science degree (or equivalent) and may have professional qualifications and/or directly relevant work experience.
Applications are welcome from any profession or occupation which works with the implications of mental health in education.
