Enhanced Consultation Skills
This course is aimed at all healthcare professionals including physiotherapists, paramedics and nurses who wish to enhance their consultation skills, that of physical assessment and clinical decision making. This award facilitates the development of the key skills and competencies required for enhanced consultation, focusing on the practitioners' area of practice.
Students must be registered healthcare practitioners, for example: nurses, paramedics, occupational therapists or physiotherapists and possess a 1st degree within an appropriate healthcare-related subject (at least 2.2 or above) or 60 credits at Level 6 (with good grades) and evidence of experiential learning equivalent to a minimum of 60 credits at Level 6. Furthermore students should have at least 2 years' post-registration/post-qualifying experience and be in current employment in a relevant clinical practice area.
