English (Literatures Medieval and Early Modern)

This programme enables students to study the subject in detail, covering areas such as literature and controversy; classic children's literature; modern and contemporary literature.

Entry requirements

A 1st Class or 2nd Class Honours degree, in English or a relevant subject discipline. Holders of other qualifications will be considered individually. International students whose 1st language is not English include an IELTS overall score of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.5 in reading and writing.

Assessment methods

Assessment is mainly by a range of written coursework including research essays and a 15,000-word dissertation. There are no exams.
