Media, Art and Design
Research degrees differ from taught degrees in that most of the students' time is devoted to the individual pursuit of a research project. The students work independently carrying out research, experimentation and data-gathering in their chosen field. However, each student's supervisors will provide close support and mentoring throughout.
A relevant undergraduate degree 1st or upper 2nd Class and strong academic references. Holders of other qualifications will be considered individually.
Areas of specialism include: Animation; applied art; cultural studies; digital media; film; fine art; graphic design; journalism; media and communications; media studies; photography; radio; television; web design.
Examination is by thesis and by viva voce if required by the examiners.
