Arts and Cultural Management

The programme will develop your conceptual and critical skills which will allow you to engage with arts and management in a sophisticated and insightful way. The curriculum is designed to allow you to pursue specialist fields of study to an advanced level, including undertaking an extensive independent project or dissertation of your choosing.

Entry requirements

Undergraduate degree in any subject at 2.1 or above.

Course modules

Core modules include: principles and practice (research skills); placement preparation; cultural leadership; placement; dissertation/project; placement reflection. Optional modules include: curatorial 1; performance programming; spaces and places 1; curatorial 2; performance programming 2; spaces and places 2.

Assessment methods

You are assessed through a range of assignments consisting of, for example, written proposals, learning log/blogs, reflection and evaluation, dissertation, developing a web-page and developing a performance project.
