Primary Physical Education

This part-time course is for primary school teachers, and other suitably qualified staff currently working in primary schools, who teach physical education. It has been designed to improve your confidence and competence to teach physical education. This will involve you exploring your professional knowledge and understanding and engaging in debate on the factors which influence the nature and delivery of physical education in the primary school. The Postgraduate Diploma in Primary Physical Education addresses a school priority area of physical education and the need for teachers to respond creatively to current and future developments. The course will be delivered outside of the normal school day and include evenings and weekends. Lectures will be based in Canterbury, however, if there is interest from a cluster of schools the sessions could be delivered locally.
