Canterbury Christ Church University
This programme of academic study and professional training enables participants to gain entry to the career guidance profession and work in a range of settings (e.g. careers service companies, youth guidance services, further education, higher education, adult guidance, the voluntary sector).
Students who do not already hold a 1st degree or a Level 2 qualification are asked to provide evidence of their capability to study at this level. Enhanced Disclosure Certificate from the Criminal Records Bureau (there is a fee for this, payable to the University).
Modules include: Career education, training and work; career guidance practice; career guidance theory; equity and social justice; partnership working; reflective professional development.
Students are assessed using written work (e.g. essays, case studies, reports) and practical work (e.g. interviews, group work, presentations).
