This exciting programme offers an opportunity to extend your knowledge and experience of the professional learning sector in challenging and critical ways.It is aimed at graduates and professional practitioners who are interested in developing their understanding of the impact that current educational and political agendas are having on their professional and personal development within the wider educational arena. It will appeal to anyone in the field of professional learning and education, including further and higher education, health, community and adult learning or the public services.Delivered through blended learning and using up to date interactive techniques, the programme has been specifically designed to meet the needs of today�s professionals who are seeking to broaden their knowledge and awareness of some of the ideological and structural underpinnings to their daily professional practice.
Entry to the programme depends upon the learner having a relevant good 1st degree and showing a genuine interest in the subject of lifelong education. Selection will be based on their willingness and ability to engage, at Master�s level, in rigorous and critical reflection in order to work towards reviewing the relationship between research, theory and professional practice.
Modules include: Professional development; curriculum studies; cultures and policies; critical and transformative pedagogies; narrative and auto/biographical perspectives.
Assessment is based on a range of practical and more traditional tasks, including presentations and essays to the total value of 12�14,000 words at each stage.
